Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012

Explore core services with Windows Server 2012

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The course is designed to provide theoretical as well as practical knowledge about deployment and configuration of Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2. The course is one of three courses that provides the knowledge required to implement a core infrastructure of Windows Server 2012 in the current enterprise environment. While other two courses of Windows Server are Administering Windows Server 2012 and Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services and as a whole, these three courses include the implementation and management of services and infrastructure in a Windows Server 2012 environment.

The new features of Windows Servers help the delegates to get rid of the Server Graphical Shell and support many web programming languages such as PHP, ASP.net, and databases like MS SQL and MySQL. During the course, the delegates will learn how to deploy and manage core services, how to perform basic administrative and post-deployment tasks, how to install a domain controller and how to perform bulk operations by using Windows PowerShell. It also explains the concepts of Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, various storage technologies and virtualization technologies including Hyper-V configuration.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Windows Server 2012 is the server version of Windows 8 and the latest version of Windows Server designed to improve the performance and capabilities of the operating system. It makes multi-server capabilities letting you manage a collection of servers together and also overcomes the limitations of a Server Core installation commitment. The course enables the delegates to create centralized security models for access to network resources and uses affordable hard drives to create a storage pool.

The five-day course focuses on initial installation and configuration of local storage, networks, servers and virtual machine settings storage and also review how to install domain controllers and create and manage group policy by understanding its processing. Throughout the course, the delegates will gain the essential skills and knowledge required to successfully install and manage Windows Server 2012, implement and manage the Hyper-V role during deployment of virtual machines along with server configuration associated with virtualization, utilize Print and Document Services role and implement Group Policies in an Active Directory environment.

ABOUT Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes is a town in Buckinghamshire, South East England, that lies equidistant from London, Birmingham, Oxford, Cambridge and Leicester.  Although the town was found as recent as January 1967 to provide for the more residential area, archaeologists have traced its existence back to the Bronze Age. When the town of Milton Keynes came into existence in 1967 it took under its umbrella the existing towns of Bletchley, Wolverton and Stony Stratford. The town got its name from the  Middle Age village of Milton Keynes which was mentioned as Middeltone in the 11th Century.

The town has a population of 250,00 as of now which is almost 5 times than it was when it came into existence in 1967.The design of this town was created by known urban planners and architects including Lord Norman Foster, Sir Richard MacCormac, Ralph Erskine, Henning Larsen, Martin Richardson and John Winter. The design the created was of a modernist type and used the grid square system.

The town is home to various parkland and lakes which are now known to characterize Milton Keynes now. Though one may find very tall buildings in Milton Keynes today, this was not so until 2004.
